TATI GABRIELLE [THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA]

WORDS BY IRVIN RIVERA

A quick glance at Tati Gabrielle would never give away any hint of her bright, bubbly persona. Donning an edgy, blonde hair, the 23-year old actress carries an otherworldly, bold, unapologetic, sexy charm that can send chills to the spine.

Tati played her character Prudence so well that it usually throws people off whenever they meet or see her in real life. She is Prudence Night’s total opposite and not a lot of people know that.

She approached Prudence’s character with care and depth to get into her character. “With Prudence I had to start from a very foundational level because she and I are so different. I am very happy and very bubbly and she is the complete opposite.  I had to go to a place and find out what made her so hard.  I didn’t want to make her this two-dimensional high school mean girl. I want her to have depth.  I always think that there’s always method to madness. Nobody’s evil for the sake of being evil. There’s something that happened in their lives whether it be traumas or something that has build-up rage, or anger or hurt. So I had to figure these things out for Prudence. What has caused her these hurt? Is it her being an orphan? Is it her having to fend for herself her whole life and create a place for herself in the world?

Once I did all of that, it informed me on how to carry her and this confidence that she built and this I’m not gonna take shit from anyone kind of mentality. She’s suffered and she overcame. She stands tall and she’s a no b.s. kind of girl because of the things that she’s gone through and she tries to protect herself because of it.”
