Hi Indi. How are you doing? What’s been keeping you busy nowadays?

I’m amazing! Thank you so much for having me! I have actually been pretty busy. I recently dropped my new single, “Hurt A Little”, recorded the music video and I just got back from NYFW!

Congratulations on the release of your new single and its music video for 'Hurt A Little.' Can you tell us about the inspiration behind this song and the concept for the music video?

Yes! “Hurt A Little” is about the end of a relationship and trying to process the feelings you have vs. the feelings the other person has about the ending. It’s like you are looking at the other person and it seems like the end of the relationship did not really affect them, so you begin to wonder if the relationship even meant that much to them. You start to have these feelings that you want them to hurt more just so they share that pain and burden. The music video takes these feelings on in a very clever way to really show the hurt and want for revenge that you are feeling.

Your single 'Hurt A Little' explores the theme of one-sided heartbreak. What personal experiences or emotions did you draw upon while creating this song?

I mean, I think when any relationship ends, whether it is friend or partner, you really dissect the relationship to see what went wrong, what could have been different and what it all really meant. You start looking at the balance of the relationship and start weighing out blame and fault and it’s easy to make judgments because you just want to feel better. It’s a normal human condition to want to share the burden or get revenge, we have all felt it. It’s obviously something that needs to be worked through, but it is a very raw emotion.

Could you share a memorable moment from the making of the 'Hurt A Little' music video with model and actor Blake Manning?

Blake absolutely nailed this shoot. When coming up with the treatment for this video, we needed someone to really deliver on the ex-boyfriend role and really sell the emotion and torment. It was a big ask but he honestly delivered a performance that was more than we even expected!

You've had success in acting, dancing, modeling, and as a content creator. How do you balance all these creative endeavors, and do they influence your music in any way?

One thing about the entertainment industry is that it is not predictable in any way! For the most part dancing, singing, modeling and content creation are pretty self-directed so they can be done as time allows. Acting is obviously more structured, having to be on sets at specific times and having auditions in by a certain day. It’s pretty self-balancing in the sense that as I get busy with one aspect of the industry, the others just happen as they fit into my schedule. I do structure my time, so I am giving each aspect the attention it needs. Like right now with the SAG and Writers strike, there is not much at all going on with acting so I am leaning more into music and content creation. It has a way of all balancing out.

You've been a part of both traditional television shows like 'Henry Danger' and digital series like 'Charmers.' How do these different platforms compare in terms of your creative process and experiences?

To me, they are pretty similar as they are both, at the end of the day, an acting experience. I guess I would say that digital series probably give you a bit more leeway with how you want to play the character and even have some wiggle room if you want to change up the script or improvise.

With your impressive following on social media, how do you engage with your fans, and what kind of content resonates most with them?

I try to interact as much as I can whether that is by replying to comments or by going live on the different social media platforms. I have actually been enjoying going live more recently and just answering questions and interacting with people live.

You've been involved in philanthropic efforts, including Autism Awareness and promoting self- confidence. How important is it for you to use your platform for social causes, and what motivates you to do so?

I think it is extremely important to use my platform to promote social causes I connect with. I get messages all the time that I have helped people have a better day or that I am their comfort person and I don’t take that lightly! I’m actually someone who really does wish the best for everyone and I do not like to see people hurting so whenever I can help or lift someone up, I will!

You've worked with major brands like Samsung and Marvel. Can you tell us about some of your favorite collaborations and how they've influenced your career?

I did a Marvel toys TV commercial when I was about 9 or 10. I played Spider Gwen and she was the drummer in a band. That was such a fun shoot! One of my dream roles is to play a superhero in a Marvel film and I kind of feel like I am already halfway there! Hahaha!

As a young artist, what advice do you have for other aspiring musicians and performers looking to break into the industry?

Be ready to put a lot of time and hard work into your craft because you are going up against people who are also putting in that time and working hard! Another very important aspect of working in the industry is to find representation and find who really believes in you and are going to push for you. Trust your gut when deciding on agents or managers. There are some really great people out there but there are also people who may not have your best interests in mind.

You have a diverse range of interests and hobbies outside of your creative pursuits. How do these activities help you unwind and stay grounded in the entertainment industry?

I love to play music, crochet, paint, draw, game, watch TV and movies, hang out with my family, friends and pets! Just a lot of normal 16-year-old things! It is very important to me to just unplug from social media sometimes and just live in the moment and enjoy things outside of social media and the industry. It’s super important to me to have that down time.

If you were a book, what book would you be and why?

Hmmmmmm, great question. I would be the book “Indigo Children”. It’s this book about the belief that the new generations have this massive awakening of spiritual and special abilities and traits. I find that to be an amazing and powerful belief and a positive change for our world!
