How would you describe yourself in a tweet (280 characters)

I am vivacious, considerate, thoughtful, curious, optimistic and happy.  I love to laugh and have fun with my family and friends.

When did acting start for you?

I was 6 years old when my dad and I saw a sign in a storefront window that read ‘Coming Soon:  Sing, Dance & Act’.  That space became Annies Playhouse in Far Hills, NJ, which became my 2nd home.  When I got on stage for the first time, I knew my life had changed forever.  From that first day, performing is all I’ve ever wanted to do.

What’s your most memorable audition experience?

For ‘Zombies’, when I had the chance to meet the other actors and we got to audition together – “chemistry reads”.  There was so much talent and energy in the room!  Milo and I immediately connected.  I have kept in touch with many of the actors I met that day, even though they were not cast in ‘Zombies’.  That is very rare, as the audition process can sometimes become very competitive.

Aside from acting, what else keeps you busy?

I love to dance, so you will always find me breaking into a move to wind down or to get pumped up.  I am taking Japanese lessons, so you may over hear me talking Japanese to my friends in Tokyo.  I love to sing and jot down thoughts for potential song lyrics.  I also enjoy hiking with my family and friends.

Tell us more about your character Taylor Otto at the TV Series American Housewife. Do personally relate to your character in any way?

Taylor is a bit distracted and does not like school, but she is an intuitive teenage girl who is trying to find herself. She struggles between family and independence, like most teenagers, myself included.  While flawed at times, Taylor has a big heart.  I really enjoy ‘being’ Taylor.

“Zombies” looks like an exciting and fun movie. Share to us a memorable experience that you had while filming it.

On the set of Zombies, we were getting ready for our first big dance scene.  As we were waiting to start, we spontaneously started to cheer back and forth between our two groups, the ‘Zombies’ and ‘Seabrook’ (human cheerleaders).  It really got our energy up!!  From then on, it became a ritual and a great way to create a fun rivalry. We then would all dance together in a big circle before breaking to start the scene.  It got everyone pumped and ready to do his or her very best.

Best decision that you’ve made in the last 24 hours

I decided to enroll in an online songwriting class.  I really enjoy it.  And though I just started, I am learning a great deal on how to take all my jotted notes and create lyrics.

Dream Project?

I have two dream projects; 1) to be the lead of an action hero movie, and 2) be in a Broadway Musical.  I would love to play characters that are strong, complex and dynamic female leads.  Roles that young girls and women could look up to and aspire to be.  I believe ‘Addison’ in ‘Zombies’ was/is such a role.

Any advice you can give to any aspiring young actors out there

I will pass on the best advice I have received to date; ‘Be prepared, but do not over think the scene.  Always be in the moment, but most of all, have fun!’  I not only apply this to my professional life, but in my personal life as well.

If you’re a book, what type of book are you and why?

I would be a book of funny stories and jokes.  I think the best thing is to laugh with my family and friends.  I would want to be the book that people read out loud to bring themselves together with their family and friends to laugh and have a good time.

If you had the chance and opportunity to help a specific charity, what would it be and why?

There are so many wonderful charities it is hard to pick.  I have been thinking about this a lot lately and how I can make an impact.  I would like to help an organization that does outreach to children with social anxiety / self-confidence issues.  There is so much untapped potential in children, but they get lost due to lack of resources and/or social pressures.
