Tell us about your single Welcome To My Mind and how important is it for the song to land during Mental Health Awareness month?

“Welcome To My Mind” is to me, a song about opening up to people which is something that I struggle to some extent, and I’m working on. And I know a lot of people who do as well. It is funny because as the song suggests, my mind is a little dark sometimes but I am also happy a lot of the times, I think. You can be both. You don’t have to be just one or the other. And just being aware of that is a step in the right direction.

How was it to tell stories through your music?

Instead of telling stories and describing events, most of my songs tend to describe feelings and emotions more, but I do have one song on this next project that is about a 2 day moment of my life. That’s all I can say so far. I’m excited for that one to come out soon.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by life, music, film, art, culture. I think to some extent, everything you absorb as an artist inspires you at a minimum subconsciously; it inspires the work that you ultimately do. I try to keep my eyes open always and try to learn new things and experiencing new feelings. And all of that ultimately is very inspiring.
