Here’s a perfect quarantine album that will keep you company and take you through the artist’s journey and experiences. There’s an easy, relaxed charm from Delacey’s voice that will seduce you to yearn for more. Damn is sort of reminiscent of Jennifer Paige’s Stranded back in 2001. My Man is probably one of my favorites from the album. It’s jazzy, it’s sexy, and very memorable. Break Up Slow Dance is a memorable, heartbreaking, comforting song at the same time. Black Coffee, the title track is a perfect melancholic vibe. It’s dark, bitter, sweet and a little bit crazy.

“So, tell me I'm not dreaming
I like the way you see me
Yeah, no one ever sees me
I'm still a little bitter
I promise not to drop out
And when we're on the way down
At least we wanna make out
That's gotta mean something”

Like an aromatic black coffee, it wakes your senses up. There’s a good blend and an aftertaste of pain, love, loneliness and happiness from the songs. There’s definitely love and bitterness. Like your favorite black coffee, there’s something soothing about the rawness of it all. These are the perfect songs during these times.
