Tell us your story? Who is Cory? Where are you from?

I just turned 21 recently this past June, I am currently majoring in kinesiology but I have always had a passion to model.  I am from Cleveland, Ohio where I have lived my entire life, but ever since I could remember it’s been my dream to move to LA.

Tell us about your hometown.

I actually grew up in a suburb, 30 mins. east of Cleveland, called Mentor. I went to a pretty big high school with a graduating class of 698. Baseball has always been my sport and I played 9 years.  I am also the middle child with a younger brother and older sister.

Where are you based now? You think you would stay there for a while?

I am currently based in Los Angeles. I would love to stay as long as I can, however school is a huge priority as well. I have about a year left back in Ohio, but I may take time off to travel for modeling and possibly even eventually transfer schools in order to make both work.  I am very passionate about modeling, however I realize how important an education is and plan on getting that degree no matter what.

What inspired you to be a model?

I’ve always been really into fitness and fashion, so modeling was just something that naturally caught my attention as a result of my lifestyle.

How long have you been modeling?

I actually got signed March 25th, so technically 4months, but since Ohio isn’t ideal for modeling I didn’t really start putting in work until I got to LA June 30th.

What’s your favorite part in being a model?

Honestly, being able to travel to places I’ve always wanted to go, meet a ton of cool people along the way that show me so much support, and take really cool pictures, learn from previous shoots and watch myself progress and get better each time.

Your most memorable experience in modeling so far.

Haven’t really been modeling long enough to give a fair answer.

How do you manage your time as a model?

I plan everything around the general time that I model. Usually anything to do with modeling is in the morning, and afternoon, so I hit the gym right after and work a part-time job in the evening.

Your favorite food.

No question, doughnuts easily

Book that you’re currently reading.

Don’t really read too often but it is definitely something I need to start incorporating more of into my daily life.

What else keeps you busy aside from modeling?

The gym, work, socializing with friends and new people, and going on spontaneous adventures whenever I have downtime.

What comes next after modeling?

I would love to either get into acting, or start my own personal training business especially for anyone who has supported me along the way and is looking to get in shape.

Any advice you can give to any aspiring models out there?

Be patient. I didn’t understand how everything worked when I first started, and I’m still not even close to knowing everything.  I used to ask my agent all the time what’s going on, what’s next, and I still do at times because I’m really eager and focused.  I have learned that modeling is something to be patient with and let opportunities come to you and you just have to wait for things that suit you to come your way.

Dream Client?

Definitely a high end fashion client like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Armani, etc.. I would also love to work with commercial clients like H&M, Forever 21, and Topman.

Tell us a secret.

I actually had to lose a great deal of size and muscle in order to become a model.  I was told my multiple agencies that I had the look, but I was just too bulky and muscular to model. I wound up putting my ego aside and lost about 15lbs. of size before I then signed with one of the best modeling agencies in all of LA, DT Model management.

Currently binge watching _____

Honestly I grew up without cable TV my entire life so I really don’t ever watch TV too often.

If you’re gonna have a book what title would it be?

The Bower Documentary. I would make it completely about living a healthy lifestyle and how to go about doing so. I would also make it about a day in the life as a model along with the ups and downs that come with it for those who are interested in modeling but aren’t quite sure how things work.

If you will be given the chance and opportunity to help a specific charity, what would it be and why?

It would be an organization that has to do with special needs. My mom is a special ed teacher and meeting some of the people she works with, and seeing how genuine people with special needs are, I would love to help.
